Established in 1994, Centro Universitário do Norte (UNINORTE) offers students academic programs that ensure the development of the values, skills, and knowledge needed for success in the Brazilian job market. It operates on multiple campuses in Manaus, Northern Brazil where 28,300 students are enrolled.

UNINORTE students pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees in Health Sciences, Human Sciences, Social Sciences, Law, Business Administration, Engineering, Architecture, and Information Technology. Of note are the institution’s distance learning capabilities, research centers, and master’s programs in association with Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, and Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina.
UNINORTE is accredited by the Brazilian Ministry of Education.
UNINORTE provides pro bono legal services and operates psychology and health clinics as well as Empresa Júnior, an initiative to promote small businesses. The university community partners with with local non-governmental organizations for literacy and environmental education projects.
