Torrens University Australia Whether it’s health, design, business or hospitality, Think Education's eight colleges equip our more than 10,000 students with the skills and knowledge to successfully lead their careers, tackle global challenges, and change the future.

Whether learning on campus, online or via a blended delivery model, their students can design their education to be as individual as they are themselves.

Although each college functions independently, all students benefit from Think's core pillars. At the Think Education Group, everyone goes to work, everyone chooses where and how they learn, everyone has an edge, and everyone can change their world.

The Think Education Group provides qualifications to more than 10,000 students and growing. Courses range from short courses and diplomas through to Bachelor and Master degree level across faculties including health, business, hospitality and design. Across their colleges, they place equal value on theory and practice, and lecturers are respected industry professionals with extensive experience in their fields.

Think Education's higher education courses are accredited by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency, and our vocational courses are accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority. Courses also comply with the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) legislative framework, which ensures the quality of the tuition and care of overseas students.

Graduates at Think's colleges are able to receive industry accreditation with the relevant professional associations. Students also connect with industry partners through industry placements, internships and other forms of work-integrated learning.

One of Think’s four strategic promises is “Everyone can change their world,” and we deliver on that promise in a number of ways.

One way is to enable all students to complete an interdisciplinary “real world challenge and solutions” project. See this video, a fantastic demonstration of students applying critical and creative thinking to real-world issues.

Another way they deliver on their promise is to encourage staff and students to support initiatives for which they feel passionate. Some projects include:

  • To help families affected by terrible bushfires in the Blue Mountains area near Sydney, Think and its colleges participated in a Community Day. The beauty and natural therapy colleges provided makeovers and massages to ease stress, photography students provided free family portraits to replace those lost in the fires, and the design college provided lots of fun for kids including Christmas crafts.
  • One of the most beautiful and natural places in the world – The Tiwi Islands – also suffers the highest child suicide rate and a lack of employment options. Think's business and hospitality faculty have been working closely with Australian cricket legend, Matthew Hayden, and his foundation, to help the Tiwi Islands build a commercial cookery and sustainable farm, including train-the-trainer education.

Think and its colleges and students, continuously win awards. Think was honored with the title of “Higher Education Provider of the Year” at the Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET) Awards for Excellence in 2012. ACPET also awarded the Billy Blue Group “NSW Small Training Provider of the Year” in 2004.
