The Sylvan/Laureate Foundation partners with the International Youth Foundation (IYF) to support many of its programs. In 2006, the Sylvan/Laureate Foundation joined with IYF to launch its YouthActionNet® program at Laureate universities worldwide. This is a global initiative that recognizes and supports the work of young social entrepreneurs.

Through the Laureate-based YouthActionNet® programs, 250 young social entrepreneurs in Mexico, Spain, Brazil, Turkey, Chile and Peru have received funding, training, and networking support to promote positive social change in their local communities. This year, a Central American Regional Program led by Universidad Latina de Costa Rica and UNITEC Honduras, will recognize an additional 10 social entrepreneurs in Costa Rica and Honduras combined.
