Health Sciences students

ULACIT Panama Dental More than 65,000 students are enrolled in Laureate Centers of Excellence in Health Sciences around the world, making Laureate International Universities one of the world’s largest providers of health care higher education.  Laureate Centers of Excellence in Health Sciences span 18 universities in 10 countries on 62 campuses and online. Programs are offered at the technical/vocational, undergraduate, and graduate levels. 

About 62 percent of Laureate health sciences students are enrolled in medicine, nursing, dentistry, nutrition, or physical therapy degree programs.  Laureate students are also enrolled in programs in psychology, physical and occupational therapy, speech and hearing pathology, life sciences, biology, physical education, chiropractics, homeopathy, sports medicine, veterinary science, and pharmacy services.

Students also are enrolled in emerging health care fields such as leisure and sports management. Internationally acclaimed sports franchise Real Madrid  joined with Laureate International Universities'  Universidad Europea de Madrid to create the Escuela de Estudios Universitarios Real Madrid, specializing in health, leisure, and sports management. Laureate's Centers of Excellence in medicine and health sciences are also leading institutions in health sciences research such as Universidade Anhembi Morumbi in São Paolo, Brazil; Universidad Latina de Costa Rica; and Universidad Andres Bello.

Centers of Excellence in medicine and health sciences share not only programs, curriculum, and faculty but also a commitment to the local communities in which they operate. That is why more than 328,000 patients have received free or low-cost service from community clinics at Laureate member institutions.
