Laureate’s Design Universities extend from Italy to India, from New Mexico to New Zealand. Laureate offers programs in art, architecture and design at more than 30 institutions in 17 countries.
Santa Fe University of Art and Design (SFUAD), in Santa Fe, New Mexico, for example, offers undergraduate degrees in a wide range of creative programs, including arts management, studio arts, graphic design, theatre, photography, creative writing, contemporary music, digital arts and film. There are two Laureate Design Universities located in Milan, Italy: Domus Academy and Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano (NABA). Domus Academy was the first graduate design school in Italy. Domus Academy is also a center of research in industrial creativity and aesthetic and consumer trends. In 2009, Business Week magazine ranked Domus Academy as one of the top design schools in the world.
NABA, founded in 1980, offers a diverse portfolio of undergraduate and graduate programs in fields such as fashion and textile design, graphic design, visual arts, theater design, interior design, landscape design, photography and multimedia communications. NABA was the first private fine arts academy in Italy officially recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education, Technology and Research, and its degrees are Bologna-compliant, which means they are accepted internationally.
NewSchool of Architecture & Design, in San Diego, California, is a leader in architecture and global design education. Universidade Anhembi Morumbi (UAM), in São Paolo, Brazil, offers design programs in fashion, animation, interior and architecture. With campuses throughout Mexico, Universidad del Valle de México (UVM) offers degrees in architecture and design, including graphic and industrial design.
The Media Design School (MDS) in Auckland, New Zealand, encourages creativity, curiosity and a commitment to excellence. Intensive project-based learning replicates a real-world studio environment. Students are encouraged to gain practical experience and develop project-management skills. MDS alumni can be found working in design, film, game development and animation studios around the world.
Pearl Academy has been ranked as the best fashion school in India by the Hindustan Times.
